The PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience (DSD) is a fantastic way to get your first taste of scuba diving! It’s designed to give you the theory and knowledge you need to feel confident and safe underwater. It’s a quick, single-day activity that’s perfect for adults and children aged 10 and up, so if you’re curious about diving but don’t have a lot of time, this is a great option—no certification is needed!

The program usually kicks off with a briefing that covers water pressure, how to communicate underwater, how to use your equipment and the importance of diving safety, all while being watched over by a PADI Professional. It’s diving’s most popular way to try scuba without getting certified. 

 

If you enjoy the DSD and want to dive deeper, you can move on to the full PADI Open Water Diver certification.
